Vetal tekdi, a rich ecosystem in the center of the ever growing Pune city and a go to briding place for every birder in Pune. It never stops surprising you. Tekdi is a birding hotspot (https://ebird.org/hotspot/L26390810).
Tekdi has it all dense forest, grass lands, scrubs, abandoned stone quarry that gets filled with water every rainy season. Its has a rich flora-fauna habitat and attract lots of birds resident and migrants. Vetal Tekdi is a place to study insects, plants, butterflies and birds and also photography.
I have been regularly going on Vetal tekdi for birding from November 2020. This is also the place where I got the opportunity to conduct a bird walk for the Pune ladies birders group. Ever growing list of birds recorded by me has now reached 90+ species. You can its my go to place.
